I’m proud to announce that my collection is officially complete with the additions of these two Alabama beauties. I’ve been very inspired by not only the colors and foliage of South but also the genuine people as well. These two babes are not only drop dead gorgeous but amazing and super talented musicians as well. I’m so happy to announce that Allison and Cat Pierce will be wearing some of Catherine Fulmer 2012 Holiday collection for NYFW and for their upcoming tour with COLDPLAY. (AWESOME) Thrilled for these girls. This season I have chosen to jump into what I like to call Silk Velvet Gypsies. The Pierce sisters not only are a great fit for me, they also live the gypsy lifestyle as well. Between their tours, playing SXSw and working with Grammy®-winning Coldplay producer Rik Simpson, or kickin up dirt in a basement show, these gals are constantly on the move. 2012 will be great a year, and I’m looking forward to exploding onto NYFW with my two favorite southern belles. Hell, I guess two Cat’s are better than one!
Cat and I at my birthday party she DJ’d with Greg and Leigh of The Misshapes in NYC. Such a fun night!
So inspired with this last collection from literally living like a gypsy. I’ve been living in 3 different states, 4 different cities and all over the place the last 6 months and it’s been a whirlwind but so exciting. Having a ball with my best friend and now fiance’ as we’re newly engaged and living a dream. Presently, I’m working out of a farmhouse on a vineyard and it’s magical. So fun working with velvets, ultrasuedes and lace this time around. It’s all I want to see really. Far more relaxed silhouette with extra luxe fabrics, rich colors and an overall bohemian vibe. Excited to share the new collection soon! Woopwoop xx
Howdy ya’ll! I’m just now realizing how much of an effect my move to Nashville has on me. I wasn’t even away for a month and I couldn’t believe how refreshing it was to be back. Nashville - you sure showed me a really great time, especially my girls. Not only did I check off a humongous list, I found time to hit all the local haunts as well. Fun is always to be had in Music City. I love how mellow everything is, and I’ve really learned my way around. Traveling solo does get frustrating sometimes, I miss the Fall days where I would drive Marty around and cruise around with the windows down…..but I will have to pick right back up in Spring 2012. Such a perfect time to start fresh. In the meantime I’ll be happy and content in the heart of Napa Valley. As my samples get produced in Nashville and are in production, I will be working from a farm house off Old Sonoma Rd organizing fashion week, coordinating my lookbook video shoot, rolling in the grass with Marty (who will be here soon) and getting cozy by the fire with my man. Life will take you to some great places, so happy to be on this journey…
Happy New Year everyone! Great to turn another page on the never ending journey of life. 2012 brings me back to California, the wild wild west, the left coast, the golden state, and the great wide open. You truly have to be away from something or someone to deeply appreciate its beauty. Open eyes and open heart is all I can say.
I’m very excited to share my world with you and I guarantee that this year will be even more jam packed than the last. I start 2012 off new, but with a taste of familiarity. Being back in California is very special, but like all family relationships, a little time away never hurts. I welcomed the new year in Los Angeles, cruised up to Napa and am now in Nashville waiting to return to Northern California. The Bay area in particular is absolutely fascinating and in a league of its own. Here’s a quick blast of what I’ve been tasting lately, my pallate has never been so pleasantly overwhelmed!
First night in Napa we went to Norman Rose for a drink and ended up salvitating over the food coming out, so we split a roasted chicken with brussel sprouts. It was delicious, simple and the wines by the glass were amazing. They really do pick the best in Napa.
